Dear Readers: Where I Am and Where This is Going

Dear readers,

Let me begin by saying that I love you. And I love everything you come for on this blog–ducks, and chickens, and goats, and quail, and homeschooling, and philosophy too. But I gave away my chickens and quail last November when my grandma was dying, and in February we moved to a house in a little town with a tiny yard, and the only animals on our property now are my dog and my cat and my son’s bird.

I’ve been focused on other things: Building a business, mostly, and writing a novel too. Raising my boys.

For all these reasons, I’m not writing much about suburban homesteading any more. I’m not abandoning this blog by any means, but it’s simply not going to be as active as it was during its hay day.

If you follow this blog because you’re fascinated by tales of suburban homesteading, I encourage you to check out Grit.com, as well as all of Grit’s social media–you will find many wonderful links to delightful bloggers on all sorts of homesteading and self-sufficient living topics. And, of course, stay tuned–I may well come back to this topic in future, and will be glad to have you along.

If you’re following this blog simply because you like my voice, or because you enjoy my philosophical essays, then first: I thank you. I am quite active in several other places, and will welcome you gladly to any one of them.

I write about writing at writerforlife.com (my most active personal blog at present).

I post about life and stuff on twitter.com/CuriosityCatMe (my second most active social account at present).

I talk to friends and followers on facebook.com/CuriosityCat (my most active personal social account at present).

I run a business at scopcity.com and write about copywriting & content marketing at scopcity.com/blog

I also post on copywriting & content marketing at twitter.com/scopcity

My big passion at present is entrepreneurship (aka self-ownership), and I write a lot about it in all of those places. I just posted this one today: There’s something I want to tell you.

If you check out any of the links above, please let me know you’re coming to them from here so I can issue you a special thank you and welcome. Thank you to everyone for all the years of delightful interaction. I love you all and hope we’ll continue to follow one another in the years to come.

Sincerely,

Me
